National Forum for English Studies 2011, 18-20 May
The Department of Language Studies at Umeå University is proud to host the National Forum for English Studies 2011. The theme of the conference is "Changes" with a particular focus on aspects of Quality. In plenary sessions, workshops and proposal sessions, we will discuss and reflect over the current changes going on both within our subject and within university education in general, and how these changes relate to an ongoing discussions of quality. There will also be room for PhD students’ posters and for hands-on experiences with digital tools for language education. Confirmed keynote speakers include Gary Motteram, University of Manchester and University Chancellor Lars Haikola.
