Education
In addition to a wide range of single subject courses available at both basic and advanced levels, the department runs a number of educational programmes.
We are one of only two education providers in the country who have a language consultant programme. The programme serves to educate students who will graduate as experts in language and communication.
Teacher training programmes form a significant part of our educational commitments. In the teacher-training programmes for upper-secondary and compulsory (4-9) school teachers, we bear the full responsibility for the language subject studies as well as the studies of language-specific didactics in the subjects English, French, German, Spanish and Swedish as a second language. We are also responsible for language studies in the subject Swedish.
We provide several courses in the Bachelor Degree Programme in Cognitive Science and in the Programme for Logopedics.
As a student at the department, you will meet many competent and committed teachers, several of whom have received Excellence in Teaching Awards.
